How do journalists and politicians assess public opinion on social media? What are the consequences for democracy as they navigate an online landscape shaped by algorithms, susceptible to fake news, and controlled by private companies, in an attempt to understand the moods of the public? In this event journalists, politicians, and pollsters discuss how social media has changed their practices and their understandings of contemporary politics.
Co-organized with Efimeridha ton Sindakton. *The seminar will be conducted in Greek and livestream on Facebook.
